Worship

The Correctional Ministries Institute was awarded worship grants in 2012 and 2014 from The Calvin Institute for Christian Worship made possible through the generous support of Lilly Endowment Inc.
Worship Renewal: Worship in Correctional Facilities (2012)
This grant allowed CMI to equip chaplains and those who lead worship in correctional facilities, with youth and adults, through a two-day conference and year-long focus on worship in their context. It was a time of learning from experts in the field and from each other

Vital Worship in Corrections: Encountering God through Drama and the Visual Arts (2014)

Because of the unique environment, culture and population in correctional worship, we hope to develop and deliver culturally relevant drama and visual arts training for those who lead worship (chaplains, volunteers, prisoners), in order to promote a vivid awareness and heart-felt response to the triune God and to disciple congregants in their spiritual formation.

Vital Worship in Corrections: Encountering God through Drama and the Visual Arts will equip worship leaders and congregants to deepen worship in meaningful ways.
